Benefit the American Cancer Society and chop off your hair

PHENIX CITY, AL - Lakewood Elementary will be holding its 6th annual hair cutting event!

Students, teachers, and other willing participants will be donating 8 to 10 inches of their hair to organizations that provide wigs for children and adults who have lost their hair to cancer or other diseases.

COLUMBUS, GA - The DEA is holding its 5th national prescription drug take back day program and giving people a chance to get rid of unused medications.

Sites will be set up across the nation and in your community this Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Noah Hein has a rare form of cancer called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or A.L.L. This is Noah's second bout with the disease.

Archery shoot to raise money for sick children

PHENIX CITY, AL - “Hunt Of A Lifetime” is a nonprofit organization with a mission to grant hunting and fishing dreams for young people age 21 and under who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.

This fund raising event will be an Outdoor 3D Shoot at Archery Connection located at 3022 Lakewood Dr. Phenix City, Alabama. The event will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 19 and at noon on Sunday, May 20.
