Sex offender sentenced to four life terms for abusing young girls | Crime
PHENIX CITY, AL - A man accused of sexually abusing three young girls appeared in court Friday and pleaded guilty to all the charges against him.
Phenix City Police started the investigation back on Dec. 2, 2012 when a relative told police that Benjamin Nowak, age 31, might have sexually abused three juvenile females.
Nowak was arrested on Dec. 5 by the Special Investigations Unit for these charges: first degree rape, child abuse, two coutns of aggravated child abuse, two counts of child molestation, two counts of permitting or allowing a child to engage in the production of obscene matter, production of obscene matter, and sexual abuse of a child under the age of twelve.
Nowak appeared in court on Feb. 22 with his attorney and pleaded guilty.
He was sentenced to four life sentences with an additional sixty years. He was also fined a total of $50,150.
Nowak will be registered as a sex offender and habitual offender for life.
