Local Chick-fil-A restaurants to host Daddy-Daughter Date Night June 8

The Chick-fil-A® restaurants in the Columbus-Phenix City Area will host a “Date Night” for fathers and daughters on Saturday, June 8 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

During this special evening, fathers and daughters are encouraged to spend some time together while they enjoy dinner, great conversation and several activities.

Seatings are available every hour, and reservations are required. Customers can visit www.daddydaughterdate.com to make a reservation.

Ribbon cutting ceremony for new Children's Department at Phenix City Library

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Children's Department at the Phenix City Russell County Library on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at noon.

The library is located at 1501 17th Avenue in Phenix City.

Light refreshements will be served.

Gospel Sing to benefit Relay for Life

(WTVM) - Artists Justin Belew, Rise & Shine, and Rev. Bud Passmore will be performing at a Gospel Sing to benefit Relay for Life on April 26, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. at the Central Activity Center in Phenix City.

There will be a lover offering taken. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life of Russell County.

The Gospel Sing is sponsored by Phenix City-Russell County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.

Mother-son “Date Knight” to be hosted by Columbus-Phenix City Chick-Fil-A restaurants

The Chick-fil-A® restaurants in the Columbus-Phenix City Area will host a “Date Knight” for mothers and sons on Saturday, May 4 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. During this special evening, moms and their sons are encouraged to spend some time together while they enjoy dinner, great conversation and several medieval-themed activities.

St. John AME Church to host midnight musical

As part of their four-day dedication celebration, St. John AME Church is hosting an event entitled "Uplifting the name 'JESUS' Midnight Musical" on April 12 at 10:00pm.

The musical will feature recording artist Santonia None & Chosen Music Ministry, David Hammond, Anetra Caldwell-Clark, Fernandez Powell, George & Mia Chadwick, Sydney Avery, The Legendary YSC and Ft. Mitchell Community Mass.

The musical will take place on April 12 at 10:00pm.

Chick-fil-A in Phenix City to Host Easter Eggstravaganza

This Saturday, March 23, the Phenix City Chick-fil-A invites community members to its Easter “Eggstravaganza” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will feature Easter-themed games and crafts, face painting, two Easter egg hunts, an opportunity for children to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, and a visit from the Chick-fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin®” Cow.

The two Easter egg hunts will be at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for children ages 11 and under.
