Businesses close as severe weather looms

RUSSELL COUNTY, AL - Due to the inclement weather the Russell County Courthouse closed at 11:00 a.m. today.

Lakewood Child Development Center in Phenix City is closing at 1 p.m.

Cheescake Cottage will be closed today due to possible severe weather threats

Chick-fil-A hosts breakfast giveaway

COLUMBUS, GA - Seven Chick-fil-A® restaurants in the greater Columbus area will give away free Chick-fil-A® Chicken Biscuits to all customers on Monday, Jan 21 and Monday, Feb. 18 from 6:30 to 9 a.m.

This offer is valid in the restaurant and in the drive-thru. Limit one free item, per customer. Participating restaurants include Chick-fil-A on Wynnton Road, Chick-fil-A in Peachtree Mall, Chick-fil-A in Phenix City, Chick-fil-A on Bradley Park Drive, Chick-fil-A on Commerce Avenue, Chick-fil-A on LaFayette Parkway, and Chick-fil-A in Midland.

Local travel consultant earns special Tahiti certification

COLUMBUS, GA - Local travel consultant Lindsey Epperly of Vacations by Lindsey has achieved the title of Certified Tahiti Specialist.

The Tahiti Tiare program is an intensive training program that Tahiti’s national tourism board offers to travel agents. The program requires extensive training and travel to the islands of Tahiti. Not only that, the program also requires agents to successfully plan a number of trips to Tahiti annually to maintain the specialist status.
