Gospel Sing to benefit Relay for Life

(WTVM) - Artists Justin Belew, Rise & Shine, and Rev. Bud Passmore will be performing at a Gospel Sing to benefit Relay for Life on April 26, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. at the Central Activity Center in Phenix City.

There will be a lover offering taken.  All proceeds will go to Relay for Life of Russell County. 

The Gospel Sing is sponsored by Phenix City-Russell County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.

World's Widest Yard Sale spans the state of Alabama

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The World's Widest Yard Sale is kicking off this week, stretching all the way from Phenix City and following Hwy 80 west across the state.

This is the first yard sale of its kind. It will follow over 350 miles of the Alabama highway.

PHENIX CITY, AL - The Troy University Symphony Band will present “Pops on the River” at the Phenix City Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. April 27.

“This performance is part of our continuing outreach program to perform in cooperation with each of Troy University's Alabama campuses,” said Mark Walker, director of bands at Troy University. “This concert is the Symphony Band's first ever performance in this venue and will feature a wide variety of classical pops music for every taste and listener.
